What is ZED! ?

ZED! is a really easy-to-use security product that works under Windows, Linux and Mac. It lets you create containers (akin to strongboxes, or "electronic vaults") for encrypted and compressed files that can then be archived or exchanged in complete security with your correspondents, as file attachments in e-mails or on a variety of devices, such as USB memory sticks. The use of encrypted containers is highly intuitive and very similar to the use of "zipped folders" under Windows.

Is ZED! free?

ZEDFREE is available for Windows, Linux and macOS.

This version is not time-limited, and let you use encryption and compression features offered in the full paid version.

About ZEDPRO

If you wish to use advanced product functions like adding unlimited data in the containers, you can buy ZEDPRO version and discover its many possibilities.

Notice that ZEDPRO version will allow you to still securely exchange with your correspondents who want to use ZEDFREE version.

Can I use ZEDFREE in a corporate context (SME, association, etc.)?

ZEDFREE is not restricted to private use.

You can use it with your company colleagues and with your external service providers and customers.

But if you need full functionality, we advise you to buy ZEDPRO version for internal use while still securely exchanging files with your ZEDFREE equipped service providers and customers.

Which ZED! version do I need ?

The available ZED! features are detailed on the ZED! Download page.

For standalone computers, if you need only a few licenses, ZEDPRO version is a good choice against ZEDFREE.

For domain computers, larger accounts, or qualified versions, ZED! Enterprise is recommended (see the publisher's site primx.eu).

ZEDFREE and ZEDPRO are available in 8 languages:

The product interface is displayed in the user language (operating system language).

If the user language is not supported, English is used.

Is ZED! Common Criteria certified or approved by ANSSI ?

ZED! Enterprise is Common Criteria certified and qualified by the French authorities (version Q.2021.2). Consequently, ZED! Enterprise is approved for protecting information at the Restricted level such as Diffusion Restreinte, EU restricted and OTAN restricted. You can buy this edition by contacting PRIM'X at contact.

ZEDPRO and ZEDFREE are neither certified nor qualified but their design and cryptography are based on the same modules as ZED! Entreprise. Furthermore, they are developed by the same team as ZED! Entreprise. This way, ZEDPRO and ZEDFREE benefit from the high level of reliability and security of ZED! Enterprise.
